FILTERS FOR SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

Clean air is considered to be a basic requirement of human health and well-being. However, air pollution continues to pose a significant threat to health worldwide.
According to a WHO assessment of the burden of disease due to air pollution, more than 2 million premature deaths each year can be attributed to the effects of urban outdoor air pollution and indoor air pollution (caused by the burning of solid fuels). More than half of this disease burden is borne by the populations of developing countries.

With SANIFILT Filter, Longday aims to reduce the risk of health problems associated with indoor air quality!

Indoor air purification filters "SANIFILT"

The air can contain and transport viruses (COVID-19) and other pathogens over a long period of time, especially indoors!

Europeans spend nearly 90% of their time indoors, in buildings where pollutant levels are usually much higher than those outside.
The indoor air in homes, schools, offices, and factories can be even five times more polluted than outdoor air.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) believes 72% of chemical exposure occurs in your home, which is probably the area people think is the safest, but which is in fact, the most hazardous.

Indoor air quality is directly affected by Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and Ventilation Mechanical Control (VMC).
Unfortunately most of these units still use a basic air filter. These basic filters were originally designed to protect the equipment and not people.
This becomes a problem when mold and bacteria start to form and get inhaled into the lungs.

How can indoor air quality in buildings be improved?

The most basic method of improving indoor air quality is to use high quality filters in ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems and mechanical ventilation control (VMC).

Is it also possible to filter viruses such as COVID-19?

Special high-efficiency HEPA 14 filters are required to filter virus particles. Manufacturers of ventilation systems and HVAC equipment are beginning to upgrade their systems with high-efficiency HEPA filters.

To make this possible, Longday offers HEPA filters identical in construction but with higher filter efficiency (HEPA) for HVAC manufacturers.

With such HEPA filter upgrades, HVAC system manufacturers can offer air quality similar to that of professional cleanrooms.

Filter classes for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems:
  • Dust filter ISO 16890 (Former DIN EN 779)
  • High-efficiency particulate air filter HEPA / ULPA according to DIN EN 1822
  • HEPA / ULPA filters in combination with Activated Carbon to absorb foul odors, dangerous fumes, and toxic gases as for sample ABEK, H2S, CHX, SO2, NH3, etc.
Where the customized filters for HVAC systems and portable air cleaners are used:
  • Commercial buildings
  • Private facilities
  • Vehicle AC units
  • Airports
  • Schools
  • Laboratories
  • Hospitals
  • Hotels
  • Data centers
  • Food industry

Filters for Ozone Disinfection devices and machines

The “ozone disinfection” system is a safe, natural, and ecological method, carried out with full respect for the environment; it does not produce toxic residues and enriches our habitat with pure oxygen.

Ozone delivery devices are systems designed to attack, oxidise, or inactivate various organic compounds present in the air, such as mites, fungi, molds, allergens, viruses and bacteria.

Longday offers filters filled with molecular sieve (ZEOLITE) for producer of  Ozone machines. This filter absorb nitrogen from the air allowing a larger quantity of pure ozone to come through the system.

Ozone machines are used for odour elimination and disinfection in
  • Hotels
  • Guesthouses
  • Homes
  • Restaurants
  • Pubs
  • Wellness centers
  • Gyms
  • Swimming pools
  • Airports
  • Train stations
  • Planes
  • Trains
  • Subways
  • Buses

Ecological, hydrophobic air filter elements

Reduce the water absorption with the new ecological and hydrophobic element replacing the standard radial elements.

Hydrophobic water-repellent air filters offer a low-pressure drop, cost-effective alternative to expensive, more air-flow restrictive membrane media. This hydrophobic filter media is a durable, cleanable, moisture-resistant solution for any outdoor cabinets, process equipment applications requiring mist elimination, or other harsh environment installations.

The media can be installed in a one-piece, low profile, ultra-thin frame by itself or combined as part of a two-stage filter media solution in other frame assemblies for dust and water mist prevention

Properties
  • Ecological (made of recyclable materials only)
  • Without glue
  • Without metal elements
  • Durable
  • Cleanable
  • Moisture-resistant
  • Water-repellent, low-pressure drop media reduces the ingress of airborne mist and other liquids in an indoor and outdoor enclosure
